About me
Chris Parmelee (AKA Parm) is a Cross-Campus Database Analyst for UC Online, The University of California's systemwide office supporting campuses online instructional technology, enrollment, policy & infrastructure. Formerly known as the Innovative Learning Technology Initiative, UC Online has provided UC faculty and administrators with financial and technology developmental support since 2011 and continues to ensure accessibility, equity and compliance at all UC campuses. To date, UC Online has supported at least 1,000 UC faculty and more than 200,000 students, achieve their goals by stimulating online learning throughout the UC system.
Parm has designed, engineered, and supported enterprise technologies for more than 20 years at the University of California Office of the President and has a diverse background supporting executive initiatives that have lasting impact on faculty, staff, students, and beyond. Parm has observed the technology landscape induce change in many industries and in his role, acts as a guide to large educational organizations to ensure efficient adaptation.
Parm holds a BA in Business Management Economics from UC Santa Cruz and numerous enterprise technology certifications and experience which support innovation in teaching and administration throughout the University of California. Parm spends the rest of his time outside of work fish-keeping, cooking, and entertaining his identical twin daughters(6).
