The classroom is no longer bounded by the buildings that we grew up in. The library at our fingertips lets us take students on learning journeys in every conceivable domain. Furthermore, new AI tools are appearing that beg for collaborative exploration, debugging and the development of learning artifacts.

We have adapted to desktop tools and online meetings but bringing these to the new classroom has remained in the province of instructional technologists, expert influencers and online personalities. However, exciting new tools have emerged that make it possible and worthwhile for practicing educators to build their own lessons around the materials they have at their fingertips. They can demonstrate how they learn, not just what they need to teach.

In this session, we will demonstrate the development and presentation of a lesson that integrates AI interfaces, website explorations and a live Zoom session. We use the new CueCam Presenter suite of tools, which are freely available. We will discuss the implications for a future education paradigm the is not confined by walls or borders.

By the end of this session, you should be able to:
  1. Attendees will feel comfortable that they can indeed bring the latest and most relevant materials to their students
  2. Attendees will see how CueCam lashes together the Apple silicon-based products they already have to do what they want to do in class and online.
  3. Attendees will walk away with a fresh appreciation for how Zoom can move them beyond the four walls of their traditional classrooms.
