Michael Rouan, Director of the Academic Technology Solutions Laboratory at Stanford University’s Center for Teaching & Learning, guides faculty and staff in exploring and implementing technologies like digital inking, audience response, grading technologies, robotic telepresence, AI, and immersive learning. With over 33 years at Stanford, he has had the privilege of leading a number of pioneering distance education initiatives, including Stanford Online, the first fully online master’s program, and Stanford Engineering Everywhere, the university’s first MOOC. Mike holds an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of San Francisco.
